Kodak Digital Photoguide
I purchased this book some time ago but thought I would mention it now while it’s on my mind.
Kodak describes this book best, so I’ll just quote it here instead of writing the same thing in my own words:
The Kodak Digital Photoguide is designed to be the professional photographer’s ready reference when taking both color and black-and-white digital pictures. It’s also very useful for planning what equipment you’ll need for the situations you want to photograph. The Photoguide is easy to take with you because it’s a convenient size for carrying in your camera equipment bag. The book contains information photographers need about sensors, exposure, flash, filters, depth of field, close-up exposure corrections, batteries, and more.
As Kodak’s description states this guide was written with the professional in mind. It is a handbook of charts and numbers. So if you’re just getting into photography, I would shy away from this guide, unless you’re one of those technically inclined individuals who love charts and numbers.
I purchased this book some time ago, and I personally enjoy it. Every so often I pick it up to check an idea against the data or to play with the dials. Check it out yourself on Amazon’s site.
